In early December, under the warm winter sun, Qingte Group hosted its seventh annual tug-of-war competition. Colorful flags fluttered in the winter breeze. Thirteen teams participated, each with a burning desire for victory in their eyes, ready to showcase their teamwork and the power of unity in this contest of strength and solidarity. On December 2nd, the competition officially began as the referee waved the flag and the whistle pierced the sky. The teams at either end of the rope resembled two armies poised for battle, gripping the rope tightly, their faces etched with determination and fighting spirit. The red marker in the middle of the rope swayed back and forth under the pull of the two teams, like a battle flag guiding the way to victory.
Before the competition, team leaders drew lots to determine their opponents. Bada Company received a bye in the first round, advancing directly. After the first round, six teams—Zhongli Assembly, Functional Departments, Foundry Phase I, Huiye Warehousing, Special Vehicle Company, and Foundry Phase II—emerged victorious and advanced to the second round.
In the second round, the Zhongli Assembly team received a bye. Learning from their mistakes and summarizing their experiences, the cheerleaders chanted “One, two! One, two!” with powerful shouts, and the team members pulled backward in unison. Foundry Phase I team fired the first shot, successfully advancing, followed closely by Foundry Phase II team. Finally, Huiye Warehousing team demonstrated their impressive strength and secured victory, bringing the total number of teams to four in the final competition!
On December 5th, the tense and exciting final arrived, with team members entering the competition venue full of fighting spirit. The first match was between Casting Phase 1 and Casting Phase 2, and the second match was between Zhongli Assembly and Huiye Warehousing. After choosing their venues, the competition began, with cheers from the audience rising and falling, their enthusiasm like a blazing fire igniting every corner of the field.
In the bronze medal match, the casting phase 2 and Zhongli Assembly team members gripped the ground tightly, their bodies leaning back at almost a 45-degree angle. Their arms were like iron clamps, their muscles taut. Because the two sides were evenly matched, both teams collapsed to the ground in the blink of an eye. But without hesitation, they got up and continued the duel. The cheerleaders cheered enthusiastically, their voices echoing through the sky. Ultimately, Casting Phase 2 won bronze. After another intense and tense match, when the referee’s whistle blew again, the victorious team was crowned: Casting Phase 1 won the championship, and Huiye Warehousing took second place. At that moment, regardless of victory or defeat, everyone cheered and jumped for joy, shaking hands and patting each other on the shoulder.
“A single tree cannot make a forest, and one person cannot make a crowd.” Every participant in this competition deeply felt the power of teamwork.
